Weekend- things most pregnant women don't do..

Well, here I am... 34 1/2 weeks pregnant and guess what we did this weekend?!?!
We went camping.. Ok well, we did sleep in an air conditioned cabin but did have to use the community showers and restrooms.
We went with Chris, Karen, Ashlyn and Tyler. The kids LOVE going camping! They just like being outdoors!
We headed up to Waller to Jellystone Park on Friday after work. Set up camp then had pizza for dinner. Saturday morning we headed to the flag pole to say the morning pledge with Yogi Bear. Emma is still not too sure about him. We have been 3 times and each time she says she will go hug him, and still never does. This is Emma thinking about whether or not she will go say hi...

So then starts the day of adventures... We went on a bike ride. Yep, me, 8 months pregnant, got on my bike for a little outing. I rode about 6 miles through the roads in Waller, Tx. Here I am (man I look HUGE) on my bike...

After the bike ride, it was time to go swimming. The campsite has a wonderful water park for the kids. Complete with slides and things that shoot out water. They had a blast! Other weekend activities included painting and attempts to go fishing. As soon as it was time to head to the lake, we got a HUGE rainstorm. So we all decided we had enough mud and camping and headed home.. It was nice to get home and sleep in our own beds and up ready for church this morning.

At church today it was the groundbreaking for our new sanctuary. They did a really neat thing by selling shirts and shovels for all families to be involved. Check out Miss Emma getting in on the action! ( as well as our family photo)

Thanks for all of your prayers.. I am feeling great! Just need to keep the BP down a little longer. (especially since my parents are in Europe until October 13)

34 week Doctor Visit

Today I had my 34 week visit. Things are progressing almost exactly as they did with Emma. For those who don't remember, let me refresh your memory..

At around 34 weeks with Emma, my blood pressure began climbing. (bottom number around 90).. I began going to the doctor weekly until I was 37 weeks. I continued working full time. At 37 weeks, my blood pressure was really high (bottom number 100) so he sent me to the hospital for induction.

Looks like we are starting this again. Today the bottom number was 90... Lillie is being a good girl. She is still really high and I am not dilated at all!

GaGa and KK leave tomorrow, Thursday Sept. 27 for a 2 week vacation to Eurpoe. The doctor seems to know that things will be ok while they are gone. He is asking me to come into the office each week they are gone just to make sure things are still the 'same'.

So, we may after all have an October baby! (only time will tell)

Here is my latest belly photo. (I actually got to take this one alone.. Emma was outside playing!)

Start the prayers for lower blood pressure and a smooth couple of weeks.

Enjoy!
I have the rail down in all photos to show the details of the back.

Weekend, Feeling Great!

Hello! We have been quite busy. I made a list of things to do on August 7 and updated the list today, and we have officially completed 6 of our rooms! (all the touchups, installation of new things, etc) It feels good to get these things checked off the lists!

The room that we worked on today was Lillie's room. I started getting all her new little purple clothes put together in the diaper bag for the hospital, and James touched up the walls, took the high chair and swing to the stairs closet and got the quilt rack all done! It is coming together. Just think, when we moved into this house, her room was the "THROW IT IN THERE" room... Everything went in there till we had a chance to sort it otherwise!

This weekend my cousin got married so we headed to Seguin for the night on Saturday. I got a really nice maternity dress for the wedding. I felt pretty good wearing it too! Emma got to hang out with her great Aunt Lari, Uncle Don and her grandparents Mumby and Papaw. (photos attached) She just loves her family!

This is my newest "momma" outfit!

Emma with her family! :) Can you tell who she likes the best? (BOYS, MEN, of course!)

At the reception, Emma tried her hand at being a pool shark with all the boys. She has had so much practice at home, she did quite well!

Lunch on Saturday we got to see Grandma and Papa and Great Grandma Dottie at Chili's. They drove in from San Antonio, bearing GIFTS!!! ;) New cute clothes for Emma and Lillie!

Well, we are off to another week of work and more improvements as we go.
