Merry Christmas! Santa Came!!!

Emma was so excited this morning when SANTA came! She woke up in such a good mood! Here are a few videos of her morning. More about her day to come:

This video starts when we go up to her room to tell her Santa came!

This video is when she is downstairs realizing all the things Santa brought her!

This is her Santa re-cap:

Lillie slept late and had her own Santa time a little later. Here is her video and a few photos of Lillie getting her Santa gifts:

Look at this sweet face! She is really starting to notice things around her!!!

Christmas afternoon we headed to James' grandparents house for Sailors family Christmas. Emma informed us that we forgot to sing Happy Birthday to Jesus and demanded we get a cake or something for Jesus and sing to him. Of course we did and here is the video and photo of Emma singing to Jesus:

I think Emma's favorite gift is this pink kids digital camera. She wanted me to take her picture while she was taking a picture of me. Funny girl!

We hope you and your family had a very Merry Christmas and the best wishes for a New Year!!!

Lillie's 2 month Checkup

Lillie went in today for her 2 month checkup and shots. :(
She is now tipping the scales at 9 pound 4.2 oz and 21 inches long. She is in the 10 percentile for weight. She is still so tiny but so healthy. She is growing the expected 1/2 pound per week and eating well! Dr. Garza seemed very pleased with her progress and said to keep feeding her like we are!!!

Last night she slept for 8 hours! I woke up this morning so refreshed, it was so nice!

As soon as her legs stop hurting and she is smiling again, I will post a new photo of her. The shots really hurt her legs. (they would hurt me too if I had those skinny legs and getting 2 shots in 1 leg and 1 shot in the other, poor baby!)

Merry Christmas to all!

Girls, Girls, Girls

Everything in our life is either pink, purple or GIRLY! (Of course bows for Lillie and ANYTHING pink for Emma!)

Last weekend we celebrated James' grandfather's 85th birthday. Emma and Lillie got to see 2nd cousins and Great Aunts and Uncles that they may not get to see again for a long time. It was so neat to see the all the generations together in one house. Here are some photos of the night.

This week was Emma and Ashlyn's Christmas Ballet Recital. (I guess recital is a bit formal, it was more like a hey, come watch what we have learned this far in class) The girls danced a ballet dance and a tap dance. Seeing nine 3-4 year olds come into a room filled with parents to perform, stand on their spots is equivalent to getting nine cats to do the same thing at the same time. Pretty funny! For the most part, the girls did a great job! They were paying attention to their teacher and would do their best at the movements. Here are a few photos of the evening.

What a cute face! She is so proud of herself!

I see the Nutcracker in their futures!

What a good girl!

This week Lillie has really started to be more awake and aware of the day time happenings. She wants to be upright and look around (mostly at what Emma might be doing). I got out the Bumbo to see how she would like it... (even though she is a bit small and a little young) she did great! She was so relieved to be in something that had her sitting up, and looking around rather than laying down on a blanket! Here are some photos of her in the Bumbo.
SO ALERT!!!

AWWW, look at that face!

With me back on Weight Watchers (to get this last bit of baby weight off) we have been taking family walks each night. As you can see, Lillie really likes the walks and Emma loves the new stroller that she can HELP with Lillie while on the walks!

I wish I could sleep my way through a walk as well! How peaceful!

Well, I think that is about all for now. I will post more soon..

Sister Love

Since I never had a sister, I don't know what it is like to have this special bond between sisters. Who knew the bonding would start so early in life?
Emma has an ENORMOUS amount of love for her little sister.
She comes home every day, runs straight to Lillie (skipping over me) to tell her all about her day, how many stickers she earned and what movie they will be watching together. Lillie takes it all in and just looks back at her with true love.

This morning Emma was laying on our bed and decided Lillie needed to hear a story. She rushed up to her room to get a book and came back to read her sister a book. It is truly heartwarming to see the joy of sisters!
