We want more pictures!!!

I have heard from alot of you that you want to see more pictures of the angels. So here we go:

When I got home I had this precious stork and big sister sign in the yard. Emma was so excited to see her name on the big sister sign and just knew it was for her! She loved holding her baby sister in front of the sign.

The love between the girls is just amazing. Lillie just sits there and lets Emma touch her and play with her. Emma comes home from school every day and tells her all about what she did that day. She is so happy to have a baby sister!

On Friday we took the 2 girls to a little pumpkin patch at a local church. Emma again loved holding her baby sister and picked out 2 pumpkins for them. (a BIG sister pumpkin and a baby sister pumpkin.)

Then on Saturday evening, Emma's school (and soon to be Lillie's school) had a Halloween carnival. Emma was so excited to take Lillie to the school and show her around . So we dressed Emma in her Halloween costume, and Lillie in hers and off we went. Lillie spent the evening in the baby backpack. (Can you believe James and I found this NEWBORN size pumpkin costume at a resale shop this week? We almost died!)
(please excuse Emma's hand in the picture. She was trying to "help"...)

We are all doing well and thank you for all of your support! Lillie is growing and getting stronger each day. One of these days, we won't even be able to tell she was such a tiny baby!
Looking forward to sending more photos your way! This week will be busy so we will try to post as we can.

We are home!!!

Lillie got to come home with us!!! We are so proud of her! She is already a fighter. She showed those doctors and nurses how much she wanted to come home and fought so hard to eat and keep her breathing under control so she could come home!
I will be on in the next few days with a more detailed blog with the whole story but here are a few pics from today.
Enjoy!

Miss Lillie Ann is Here!!!

Miss Lillie Ann is here! She made her grand (and very fast) appearance at 11 06 am. She is just beautiful! She weighed 5 pounds 15 oz and was 18 1/2 inches long.
After she was born she was taken to the nursery for observation for breathing. After 1 hour of observation she was moved to the NICU for further testing and observation. We got to see her and she is doing very well. Her sugar levels are rising abd her oxygen is perfect. The neonatalogist wants to keep an eye on her for the next 2 days in the NICU to make sure she is doing good.
We are all doing ok and go to see her as often as we can. If you are in the area and want to stop in and see us you can. We will show you pictures of our precious Lillie!

Rest, Nesting and Emma

I have been pretty good about resting. It is SOOOOO hard for me to just sit and not do anything. Luckily I am not on TOTAL bed rest. My doctor said to take it easy and not strain myself too much. So I have worked on Lillie's baby book, written thank you notes, laundry (NEVER ENDING PROJECT) and worked a little on Emma's scrapbook.
Well, after 2 days of rest, we decided today would be a good day to nest! We spent time in Lillie's room this morning picking up, moving things and vacuuming. (ok, James did most of the work and I got to be the supervisor.. since I am not really supposed to be doing much) We put together her new pink bouncer, washed and folded new clothes, and straightened up things. Her room is all ready for her to come home!
GaGa and KK are home from their 2 week vacation in Europe. They had a wonderful time but we can all breathe a little easier knowing they are in the states and will be here for the birth. GaGa got right out into the garage today to work on the dresser. We all thought he would have about 3 more weeks to complete it, we could all be wrong.
Emma is a HOOT. She is totally understanding that Lillie is coming soon. We will not tell her a day since we all are still unsure if it will be this week or next. She talks on her pretend phone telling people Lillie is coming and she will cry and will want her diaper changed.
Here is a picture of Emma today in the car. She is such a DIVA!!!

Also, here is a pic of me today at 36 weeks and 3 days. LOOK at that belly. I don't think it can stretch any more!

We will keep everyone posted as things progress throughout the week. Say a special prayer that things will work out and Miss Lillie will get to come on Thursday. We are all ready for her!!!

Lillie wants to come soon...

I went to the doctor this morning. I am 36 weeks today. My Blood pressure was high as I expected it would be. So I was sent to the hospital for a non stress test on the baby. She is doing great! Lots of fetal movement and her heart rate was great!
My BP stayed up for about 30 mins after I got there then they made me move to my left side and it finally went down into the normal range to send me home.
So I am now officially off work and will go back to the doctor on Wednesday to get things checked again. He went ahead and scheduled induction for Thursday the 18th so we could be on the books thinking this would all repeat itself from my 1st pregnancy.
So this week should be nice to rest and relax to get ready for the baby.
I don't have to stay in bed but just can't go to work and have to take it easy.
We will keep all updated as we know more.

ALMOST 36 weeks!!!

This Thursday I will be 36 weeks! WHOO HOO.
As happy as I am to meet this sweet Lillie, I am starting to get the emotions that I will never be pregnant again. (yes that's true, no more babies for the Sailors! We will be a happy family with our 2 beautiful girls!!!)
I have had a pretty eventful pregnancy starting with the complications at 8 weeks, moving homes, stomach virus and working all summer (I have always taken the summers off).
Here is a list of things I can't wait for:
I can't wait for Miss Lillie to come into the world and meet everyone. She is quite active and those who look long enough can see her dance in my tummy.
I can't wait for Emma to be a big sister. She has been excited since the day we told her we were pregnant.
I can't wait for my family to be complete. 2 kids will complete our family.
I can't wait to bring Lillie home and be with her.
I can't wait for Christmas to have my WHOLE family there and share in the wonderful holiday.
(and now for the not so serious ones)
I can't wait to wear regular clothes again.
I can't wait to FINALLY be able to get to my goal weight and stay there.
I can't wait to be able to pick up Emma and hold her again without telling her I can't hold you cause of the baby.
I can't wait to have time off work! ;)

As this comes to an end, I am so happy that I will have another sweet baby in my home and a wonderful husband to share the joy with me. He has been the most supportive husband I could have ever asked for. He knows when to help me and knows when to just let me be.

Thank you to everyone for your prayers and support.
We love you all!
Hollie

I had my weekly appointment today and so far things are doing great! My blood pressure went down so I am thankful! I will be going weekly now and hope the BP stays down for a little longer!
Thanks for your prayers!
