Monday was St. Patrick's Day and of course I had the girls all decked out in their green so they would not get pinched! I left the living room to get dressed and came back in to find this: Emma said it might rain so she had to keep Lillie safe. She just LOVES her little sister and would do anything to protect her!
This is at the hospital waiting on one of her appointments. You can tell she is not as stressed out as mommy!
We started off the week on Monday with our appointments down at Texas Children's Hospital.
At 11:45 we had an appointment with the Ophthalmologist. They dilated Lillie's eyes and looked for any abnormalities. They said that she looks great! We will go back in June for one last check of her eyes. They will be looking to make sure her eyes are both working together. I think that with the strange things her eyes were doing, it could lead to her having a lazy eye and they just want to watch her eyes as she develops. I am glad they are going to continue to watch it. She said after that appointment, we should be done with that office.
At 2:00 we got to see Dr. Carlos Rivera, Neurologist. James and I know Dr. Rivera from Camp For All. He comes with a group in the summer. It was nice to have that personal connection with him and to have him care for our sweet baby Lillie. He was so happy to see Lillie and to see how healthy she is. He checked her reflexes and development milestones. (smiling, putting weight on her legs, holding her head up, etc) He was very happy with her progress that he discharged her from any more clinic visits!!! As much as we like him we are glad that we will not have to go to any more appointments. There will be NO follow up MRI scheduled since she is so healthy!!! We will just watch her development and give him a call if there is any concern.
Here is a pic of Lillie with Dr. Rivera. How sweet!!!
While we were there we got to spend time with our friend Ashley Thomas. She is a child life specialist for the hospital and played with Lillie before her appointment. Lillie just LOVED her! :) Here they are in the waiting room!
On Tuesday we took the girls to see the Easter Bunny. Emma keeps telling us now that she is 3 she is SO brave and wanted to go... So off we went! (matching dresses of course!)

I have not even posted yet all about Lillie's food adventures. Let's just say, she is not a big fan of solid foods. James and I are making all of her baby food for her, but she still does not like it. We have tried squash, carrots, bananas and apples. (rice cereal of course too!) Here are some pics of Lillie's distaste of this nasty food in her mouth! :)
Cereal:
Carrots:
Apples: (I thought she would LOVE them, but guess not!)
I am off this week for Spring Break! Its nice to get all of these things done and enjoying my time with my sweet girls!
