Lillie can sit up!!!

Our Lillie is growing up so fast! On Sunday I was talking to her Neurologist, Dr. Rivera, while we were all at Camp For all for Family Day. I was mentioning to him that Lillie's pediatrician was worried she was not sitting up yet. He re-assured me she was fine and would sit up soon. She must have heard him! Monday night I was giving Lillie her bath and just for fun, I sat her in the bath tub and she just sat there and played with her toys. I screamed for James and Emma to come in. We were all cheering for her! It was so neat. She just smiled back at us. So then to make sure she was not tricking us, I put her in her pajamas and sat her in the living room. She, again, just sat there looking at us like, WHAT? I am a big girl!
She is such an amazing baby! We are so happy to have her!

Radio Contest Winners and Lillie's 1/2 Birthday

So, I am one of those mommies who calls into the radio to try and win my sweet daughter things! Well, my luck finally PAID OFF!!! I called into Mix 96.5 and won 2 tickets for Emma and I to see High School Musical ON Ice and dinner before the show. The dinner was so nice. It was only 4 moms and our daughters. (one of the moms was actually the DJ from the radio station). We went to Spencer's Steakhouse in the Hilton America's Downtown. WHEW, a nice restaurant to be taking Emma! :) So then off to the show. It was a blast. Can you tell Emma had fun?!?!







HAPPY 1/2 BIRTHDAY SWEET LILLIE!!!!!
Lillie is now 6 months old and I don't think she could get any cuter!!!!!! She is such a joy and we are all so blessed that she is so healthy for her 1/2 birthday! She now has 2 teeth and loves to smile to show them off!!! :) We had her 6 month checkup today and so far she is hitting all of her developmental milestones. We are working on her sitting up but other than that she is doing great! She loves to eat baby food and soon we get to start more of the finger snack foods! She is such a calm and laid back baby and LOVES her big sister!!!

Bluebonnets

We took the girls to the bluebonnets this week. I just love going every year and then comparing the photo to the year before. Emma loved the fields of flowers and wanted to pick them so bad. I let her pick the Indian Paintbrushes (or as she called them orange bonnets) and the yellow wild flowers (yellow bonnets according to Emma).
Lillie was just taking it all in... Being outside, sitting in the flowers. She was not too interested in smiling. but her photos did turn our beautiful!
(This one is my favorite. This is how we find the girls most of the time if we leave the room. Emma just talks to Lillie and tells her all kinds of stories. Nothing sweeter than sister love!)

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted. Our life could not be more busy if we tried.
We took the girls for family photos last weekend. They turned out pretty good! We were pleased! (Don't worry the edge of the family photo is cleaned up in the final printout. )
