Vacation...

This past weekend we headed to Galveston for a last family vacation of the summer. We stayed at Moody Gardens. That hotel has to be the best family oriented hotel around. When we checked in, they gave Emma a backpack full of toys and activities. Throughout the day they have activities scheduled for the kids: clown, scavenger hunts, S'mores at night around a camp fire, movie night, face painting, etc. It was wonderful!

We headed to the private beach there on Saturday and enjoyed a FUN day in the sun. Christian and Karen headed down for the day with the kids and Emma had the most fun taking Tyler around showing him how to play! (what a cute photo of them!!)


After nap time we headed to the paddle boat ride, which was not our favorite part of the trip. WAY too hot and not all that exciting..


For dinner we went to Emma's newest FAVORITE restaurant, Rainforest Cafe. She just loves looking at the animals and listening to the sounds!!!
Then back to the hotel for movie night..

Sunday we woke up and headed to the pool one last time. Emma is getting SO brave in the water and loves to play. Look how cute she is in her bikini!


Then it was off to the TRADITIONAL trip to the strand for ICE CREAM and candy!!! You can't go to Galveston without going to the Candy Factory! Emma is definitely enjoying this tradition!!! (as you can tell, she had her OWN ice cream then had to share with BOTH of us)


We had such a wonderful trip and will cherish these memories as our last vacation as a family of 3... Soon we will be a family of 4...
